Changing Table Dresser For Babies
If you don’t want to spend a lot of time on your hands and knees changing diapers, you will want to invest in a good changing table for your child’s nursery. You may also want to get one to keep on the first floor of your home if you have a large home and all of your bedrooms are on the second or even third floor. You will find that you are eternally grateful to yourself for having bought one or two of them when you children are born.
You can find a good changing table almost anywhere you find furniture, and they may come as a set if you buy an entire nursery full of furniture together. When you do this, you have a nursery with matching furniture, and you will know that each piece is of the same quality as the rest of the stuff in the room. You can also buy a changing table separately if you don’t like the ones that come with the nursery furniture that you have picked out. If you get one that is used, make sure you check it to be sure it is still in good condition. Also make sure there is no lead paint on the item, and make sure there are no sharp, dangerous corners that may harm your baby.
Make sure you get one that is made to be comfortable for you and your baby. You want something that is high enough so that you are not bending in an uncomfortable position when you are changing diapers. You also want a changing table that has small safety rails so that your child cannot easily roll off, even though it is never wise to take your hands off of your baby when they are on a changing table.
You should find a good changing table that not only has a pad for softness, but you also want one that has a lot of storage underneath. Sometimes you can find a dresser that has a changing table built right in on the top, and you don’t have to buy one separately this way. You want a good pad, but you also want to remember to get pad covers if the pad you choose is vinyl. Anything other than cloth may be chilly and might shock your baby when you lay him or her down on it in the middle of the night for a diaper change.
